Meter Reading using Real Estate Solution

My client is using the Real Estate solution in SAP ERP2005. They would like to perform utility meter readings for their current properties and are wondering if this can be done using the Real Estate solution in SAP. I know that the IS-U industry solution provides this capability, so I have 2+ questions:

- Does the Real Estate solution provide meter reading functionality? If so, please provide details regarding it.

- If the Real Estate solution does NOT provide meter reading functionality, can I use the IS-U solution in conjunction with the Real-Estate solution?

- If NOT are there other SAP or 3rd-party options that are available that will allow me similar functionality?
