Hi Mario,

I came across similar error "WinSock error on connect" when I tried to mount to MDM server which is in different network. Then I logged into that network through VPN and mounted MDM servers and repositories in MDM console without any errors.

Check whether there are any network issues in your case.

Cheers,

Satya.

If I am not wrong , this is a network issue.

If not work drops for a moment , it gets disconnected with server and gives this error so that one has to reconnect by connecting thru Import Manager again.

Hope this helps

I have noticed this happening on our system a lot more frequently than it has in the past. As a matter of fact, it's happened twice in the past week, both times while trying to import. And yes, restarting the Import Mgr solves the symptom, but not the underlying problem. In our case, our MDM resides on one server, but the Oracle backend resides on another. My guess is that the connection between these two servers gets dropped and causes this error. I'm not a network guy, so I can't say with any certainty, that's just a hunch. You might want to talk to your network people to see if this might be the case for you.
