Open iview after login in new Window

Hi,

we have a iView which collect system messages. This iView should be executed after login in a new window. Is it possible to configure the iView to be opened in new Window directly after Login? So that my welcome site is shown an parallel my iView with the system messages is opened in a new window?

Hi Detlev,

thx.. this was very helpfull. Ok..now the iView ist opened in a the Window but my iView is to fast... The Page where my iView is included needs more time to load so that my PopUp window allway disappear to the background. I´ve tried to set the focus on my window in the onblur event..but IE is a little bit silly on this event.

Is it possible to make a dependency to other iview or something else to say load my iview at last, so that it could stay on top?

Or window.stayAllwayOnTop?

Hi Mario,

You can put an iView with size 0 to the welcome page which checks if it is called the first time in this HTTPSession. In this case, let it render some javascript to open an new window beneath the current main portal window. For URL targets see or http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/26/71c74030308431e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm (with a special look at the "mode" parameter).
