I am being asked to remove MS Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable from my servers that have Crystal Report 2013 SP01 installed on them.
After some research, I didn't find any information that may help me to understand if latest Service Pack fix this or not.
It will be critical for us knowing that MS Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable is no longer supported by Microsoft.
Is it possible to have some information / date regarding when SAP plans to remove this dependency ? It will become a real issue for us knowing that European General Data Protection Regulation will evolved next year and it might be considered as a security breach.
As SP 21 is now released can we get an update on this please?

Hi Don,
Does it means that Visual C++ 2005 dependency has been removed in both Crystal Server 2013 and 2016 ?
Thanks

SP 21 is out now and all others have been updated with the latest patch.
Must use the latest Patch for all CR for VS, CRS, CRSE, and BOE.

Currently CR SDK still has a dependency on that version. We are aware it's in extended support mode and working to replace it with the VS 2015 dependency.
Should be in SP 21 or possibly shortly thereafter.
