we have a lot of old serviceorders which can be used as a template for new serviceorders . the only problem is that the personel numbers are copied also.
is it possible to prevent that the personel numbers of the old serviceorder are not copied to the new one ??
Solved this my own by writing a copy program for serviceorders with the bapi BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN
cleaning up old questions, still amazed that I have to mark them as answered since there came no proper answer at all.

that's not something that a user can do if he or she just want to reference to an old serviceorder .

Hi,
probably u already tried this. In case u haven't, try maintaining the personnel number field in the parameters tab of the user profile. Maintain a blank value. I have not tried it myself for this field. But there is a chance it will work. But if it works it might also work when u r copying operations from a tasklist where there are personnel nos.
Pls let us know whatever's the outcome.
thanks
Bala
Hi,
The only work around is to run LSMW to detach all personal no form work center than upload new work orders and than again rectify work centers with LSMW and assign personal nos for future use
Enjoy SAP .
Dont forget to give point if its useful ans.
