Second init

Hi All,

I have a extractor for which I did an init for 5 companies last month, I have to run init for another 1. Can any one tell me should I delete the last init and do a new one, or init to same target possible with different selections?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Tina

Joa,

Here is what I did, it had a init run with 5 company codes, I wanted to do init on a new one, so I created a new Info package and said init for that new comp code, but it didnt allow me to run sayong delete the old one.

Hi Robert ,

This is init for AR, yes at info package I gave the selection for 5 comp codes, now I have one new added, I want to take it separately.

Dont want to run a full init again.

Thanks, Tina

Thanks all, but unfortunately when I run my second package with different init selection it clearly says second init not possible, delete the first and run. Why so , I was also sure it wont give me such information.

Anything I have to do ?

Hi Tina,

where you performed your previous init selections (on 5 company code)?

You have to put them at infopackage level, cause if you applied these filters only at setup level (if you are using LC datasources) this cannot be taken into consideration by your system...

Hi Tina,

did you run new init with all the six companies, or just with one (the new) company?

Hi Tina,

Init with different selections is possible, deltas will be loaded then for 'old' and 'new'

selections.

hi,

if you have different data selection than you donot have to delete previous

initiallization you can directly start the new one else delete the previos and start new one.

pls assign points if helpful.
