IPG are used to collect several IPs and configur ethem in the order we need to execute.

Please use process chains instead. newer versions might not support IPGs.

Dear Sreekanth,

Infopackage Groups are a group of infopackages that are run in the background with a triggering event in a flow of Data load, to create Infopackagegroups in the Infosources Screen , in the top you can see Infopackage Group Symobol ,click on it and it branches out into a screen on the right hand side, there you can create IP Groups, and you can set the sequences of the data flow, like a master data infopackage should be executed before transaction data .

So the Significance is for back ground scheduling of the Loads sequentially as per the business flow. But Its always good to use Process Chains in place of IP Grps as Process Chains offer performance loading with deletion indicies, roll up of aggregates etc.

Hope it helps..

Thanks,

Krish
