Hi Deepa,

See context objects refers to data which is at the same heirarchy level in a XML document. So whenever the level changes, a context change in data is inserted.

Value mapping is done to assign the fields of source message to target message so that target message fields can have their data in their format.

Transport in XI is done either using file system or CMS. you can export your whole scenario in a .tpz file and you can import a .tpz file your XI system for a scenario.

Thanks,

use of value mapping ?

refer this..

/people/community.user/blog/2007/01/08/valuemapping-using-the-graphical-mapping-tool

If u need it short,i can explain u....

for eg:

A company A bought compnay B.

For sex, there can be two options

1.Male

2.female

in company A all the details are filled as 1 (for male) and 2 (for female).

but in company B it is taken as Male and female.

here we can for value mapping as

if sex is male then go for 1.

if sex is female then go for 2.

You cannot check the mapping using test tab. Value mapping will be executed only during run time. You have to execute it completely. You can see the details of your value mapping table in CacheMonitoring of RWB.

how is the transport done in XI scenario???

XI objects can be transported in two ways.

1. File based transport.

2. using CMS.

Regarding transport, it is done using File Transfer or CMS( Change Mgt Service). Regarding file transfer u have doc. in above link. For CMS they had nice doc. in help.sap.
