Business process mapping with SAP

Hi team,

I am wondering if SAP provides solution to manage employee housing via SAP PM module.I am aware of solution to issue goods against cost-center and periodically distribute evenly to all accommodation, but I need to know if materials can be issued on the spot or by end of day to the house which is Functional Location via work order.

Requirement:

We have a utility vehicle which holds all materials like electric connectors, taps...etc and it is not a warehouse. Work orders are given to technician. Technician then drives to house (Functional Location), assess the problem and fix it by consuming goods from utility vehicle. Now, he updates work order with parts. These parts actually should be issued from warehouse, but in reality consumed from utility vehicle. Hence, how to capture materials cost on work order?

I will look forward to solution this has been implemented by any elite team.

    • Get a Storage Location created by MM / MDM team for the Utility vehicle.
    • Here you need to maintain the present stock.
    • You will be doing GI from this StLocn to Work Orders.
    • Also You will be doing stock transfers from your Realtime Storage Locations to this vehicle StLoc to top-up the stocks.

      Thanks for your response and apologies, that I forgot to mention utility vehicle to be made as storage location during the start of thread. Unfortunately, our advice has been turned down by warehouse department to make it as storage location due to lack of accountability.

      Reason:

      Utility vehicle exchange hands between different users and warehouse does not want to be held responsible for the same.

      Is there a way to distribute material cost from cost-center to work order (a/c assignment)?

    SAP PM,

    If the stock is held in the main warehouse, and not in a storage location for the van (but the stock is physically held in van), then the warehouse staff also cannot be responsible as they cannot know where their own stock is??

    So I would be asking the warehouse department how they intend on segragating their stock both physically and financially..
