Hi,

The IK17 report always asks for either the Measuring Point /Equipment or Functional Location entry in order to run. Is it possible to make them optional so we can run report for any other criteria. For instance we have entered Code Groups for all points and want to run the report to show all points for selected Group Code but the system asks for Measuring Point /Equipment or Functional Location entry too.

Thanks

Faisal

Simple way to meet this situation is to put * in the Measuring point field and Save the variant under the name SAP_TCODE_IK17, so that the * appears by default and the mandatory condition is fulfilled.

Thanks Jogeswara it worked. I noticed that only those records appear for which i entered the Code group in IK11 or during IK34 (collective entry). But I have added the Code Groups once in Points master records in IK01/IK02 as this will remain same all time but we do not enter those Codes again and again for each measuring Document. How to run a report to show all Measuring points with a Code group in their master record only?

Why can't we use Code Group field of IK17 for this?

The code group field is referring to the Code entered in IK11 or IK34 while entering Counter reading and the code group field does not refer to the Master record of Measuring Point in IK02. Thus i was looking for any Master List tcode for Measuring Points that were created with tcode IK01.

There are 2 ways.

  • You need to have Code Group wise Selection screen variants where you will put the respective measuring points in the MPt field.
  • The other one is to Develop a report. This is not a big job for the ABAPer.

Thanks i have followed your second suggestion and combined the following tables IMPTT, IMRG and MMPT to get the required Measuring Points and rest of details for Code groups in their master records (IMPTT table).
