Outbound Datatype structure

Hi,

well maybe a stupid question but does the Outbound Datatype inside of XI has to look like the data which XI is receiving?!

I have a scenario where someone else has manually added a datatype which isn't conform with the XML-File which is send into XI via HTTP-Adapter. I my point of view the DT has to look like the XML-Structure which is send to the Adapter!?

Any hints....

edit: And is there a way to get the XSD out of a sample XML-File?!

Hi Jen,

The sender system shud send the data in the structure which is same as the data type. Otherwise it wont be able to pick uop the file.

If ur data type is edited wh u can do is goto the msg mapping involving this data type, extract the xml instance from the source structure in the mappin editor and use it in the file to send the data.

<i>And is there a way to get the XSD out of a sample XML-File?!</i>

Im sure thr r tools like stylus studio or altova software which can give u xsd out of xml.

Regards,

Akshay

Hey

AFAIK sender Data Type should have the same structure as the sender file otherwise you wont be able to get correct Receiver file.

thanx

...and the mapping won't work at all because the Sender-File is not understandable by the XI!
