SSL problem when connecting to a third party REST service

Former Member

Hello everybody,

recently I'm struggling with establishing an SM59 connection to an external third party REST service. When I execute an connection test in SM59 HTTP connection, I get this error message:

SSL handshake with <Service-URL>:443 failed: SSSLERR_PEER_CERT_UNTRUSTED (-102)#The peer's X.509 Certificate (chain) is untrusted##SapSSLSessionStartNB()==SSSLERR_PEER_CE RT_UNTRUSTED# SSL:SSL_read() failed (536872221/0x2000051d)# => "Failed to verify peer certificate. Peer not trusted."# S

I'm aware of that I need to install some kind of SSL certificate of the partner system but I don't know how and where exactly. Can somebody explain, how to setup a scenario with SSL-secured REST service call from SAP?

Would be great to receive some helpful answers.

Thanks and best regards

Markus

Hi,

you need to add the certificate to Certificate List in t-code STRUST.

You can choose between SSL Client Standard on Anonymous, depending on you settings in SM59.
