Error in workflow after making changes in BUS2089

Hi,

I made changes in Business object BUS2089 and generated new version. But my workflow runs into error everytime now. I checked the object for errors and there are no errors in my BOR.

Can some one help me to rectify the error. "Error while starting workitem".

Please help me with the steps to troubleshoot.

Hi LM,

I assume you delegated your BOR. Hope once you make changes to your BOR in SWO1 (code or whatever) you are doing your performing Edit>Change Release Status> object type component as 'To be implemented' also for BOR and finally clicking the GENERATE button.

Hi,

I couldn't get exactly what do you mean by "My own generated version". However, I assume by this statement you have delegated the standard Business object to a custom one. so that you can refer the extended functionality by referring to Standard business object. Make sure you delegated it properly from the initial screen of the SWO1 --> Settings --> Delegate.

Can you also elaborate about about the below points

1. How is workflow initiated, started?
2. Is any event linkage maintained?
3. Are you missing any mandatory parameters which are requried to start workflow.
4. Is workflow definition error free or not. Even if the workflow is in error state then the workflow may not trigger.

Thanks for the answer.

Workflow is triggered through PR05 transaction when manager approves expenses for a trip.

there are event linkages maintained for the object- it has no errors. i checked it in SWE2

i did not change anything in the workflow. i just made changes in the business object method.

workflow definition is error free. should i check anything else ? Please suggest.
