UWL has duplicate items, sometimes up to five duplicates

When a user goes through the portal to see thier UWL, some items are duplicated up to five times. I checked SBWP for the user and there are no duplicates. Does anyone know why this is occurring?

Hi,

If every workitem is duplicated to 5 times, then check the UWL Administration once again. I mean, there should be many systems refering to the same ECC. Due to that DUPLICATION usually happens. Ask your SAP Netweaver Portal consultant to check this issue.

Which version of EP? We are having some oddities with EP7 which is apparently a known bug.
