Can we connect ESS/MSS to multiply clients of ECC?

We are on NW04s for the Portal and ECC 5.0 for the SAP backend. Any one have an idea how to connect the ESS/MSS webdypro application to multiply clients?

Alan,

yes it's (theoretically!) possible...

you have to:

define for each backend/client a new JCo-Destination in WebDynpro Content Administrator with a 3-digit suffix, for example

SAP_R3_HumanResources & SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData (pointing to the first client)

SAP_R3_HumanResources300 & SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData300 (pointing to the second client)

then you can use the url-parameter: sap.wdarfc.useSys=SAP_R3_HumanResources:004&sap.wdarfc.useSys=SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData:004

to use the new created Jco-Destinations. That means, you have to duplicate each iView, you want to use and put the above mentioned string in the "Application Parameters"
