Movement type plant to plant with stock type change

Hi Dears!

I have the following task:

I need to move materials between different pants (one company code).

There can be 3 cases (which are concern related):

1. Issuing plant (IP) material is in Q stock, at receiving plant material must be posted to Q stock. Here is actually no problem 301 MvT allows this.

Now the problem:

1. Issuing plant (IP) material is in Q stock, at receiving plant material must be posted to unrestricted stock. As soon as I choose in 301 Q-stock at the issuing side, the sysytem reayuires me to enter WBS element at the receiving plant. The spec. stock indicator is grey and unchangeable.

2. Issuing plant (IP) material is in unrestricted stock, at receiving plant material must be posted to Q stock. Here at the receiving side there is no option to enter a spec stock indicator unless I do it at the issuing one, and as far as you already guessed I don't need spec stock there, only at receiving plant.

411 and 415 do not allow cross-plant posting as soon as I change plant code one the one side it automatically changes on the other.

Kindly help with ideas.

My assumption is that I need to do some changes in T156B table but which I don't know.

Or, probably, there is another tool in SAP for my aim.

But please don't recommend something like "first move to unrestricted, then cross plant or vice virsa". It must be one single movement.

Thank you in advance.

BR,

Anton

If it must be a single movement then I recommend to create a development request and send it to SAP.

If you would use quality management and inspection lots with STO process then your case 2 should actually work.

Hi Jurgen,

Don't you think that it can be configured through T156* tables? They allow direct change and you can save changes to transport request.

For me it's just a matter of field visibility.

T156B looks like this (Z27 is a copy 301)

But I don't know where to put + or . or - so that spec stock field is always changeable.

In T156B you actually define which fields are optional, mandatory or hidden

this does not change at all the posting logic. Not everything can be influenced with customizing, the coding has the general logic, customizing does not generate any new code, it just influences parts of the given code in places where SAP design offered you some freedom.

You cannot create new movement types from scratch, you can only create new movement types by copy of existing movement types, hence you can't change its basic designed program functions.

The changes allowed for you are marginal, like other descriptions, allowing a movement to be used only with certain transactions, finding different accounts, using movement type specific authorization.

By the way this screen that you showed has a user interface, you get to it when use SM30 and enter V_156B and then maintain (just in case you want avoid going through IMG)
