The query could not be saved due to a problem in transport

Hi,

i have a problem with saving queries in BEX on PROD. If i try to modify an existing query and then to save it, it is not possible.

Error mesage:

The query could not be saved due to a problem in transport

Cannot extend package ZBW

Could anybody help.

Hi,

Try to make a copy of the existing query using "Save as" option and do the necessary modifications you needed.Hopefully this works out

I use to have the same issue, but later found out that for any queries that are created in Prod, and not the usual way (Dev - Qa - Prod), the naming convention for such ad-hoc queries was different. The Basis guys informed me of that, once i used that naming convention, it worked. So check with your Basis Folks, maybe they'll give some direction.

This can be due to a system setting. The objects are not modifable.

If you wish to change a query, change it in Dev, trasport to prod thru Q system.

I have the same problem when creating an ad hoc query in PROD... It gives me the same error ... problem with transport.

For ad hoc queries we don't want to build them in Dev and transport them.

you have to make queries as an editable object in production else you have to change it in Dev and transport. while transport pls select to overwrite existing object.
