Material Cost Estimate Messages

During cost estimate (CK11N), the system is issuing the following messages:

All of them are correct, justified and I do not have any problems with them. What intrigues me is that the first two of them didn't appear until now, in older cost estimates even if the process remained unchanged.

The previous cost estimate has the following messages:

Do you have any clue about the cause of this strange behavior?

Thank you,

Dear Horatiu Covlescu,

Please explore the forum prior to posting the query as you may find at least one thread concerned with this issue.

Nevertheless the following are the cause for the strange behavior of the above

1. Check the costing lot size in costing 1 view as the system considers this during cost estimate calculation. Costing lot size can not be smaller than price unit however system throws error if you attempt this.

2. Check the bom flagged for costing relevancy under basic data tab of CS02. Also check the costing relevancy for Usage 1/ Alternate bom in OS20 and OS21.

3. If you are sure, all the settings and parameters are in place then you can control the messages using OPR4_CK

Best Regards,

Dear Hemanthkumar,

thank you for answering. I think that I did not made myself understood: I do not ask for the significance of those two messages, their meaning and origin is obvious. As I say above, I fully understand the messages, they are correct and I do not have a problem with their substance.

What I am asking:

the cost is estimated at two moments in time; master data & system configuration is the same, the result of the calculation is the same... but the system is issuing those two info messages as a plus; why are those not present in the previous cost calculation as it was made in the same conditions (in the previous run, lot size was also taken from the costing view of the material & the BOM that was used was the same, with no items relevant to costing).

Kind regards,
