Roadmap and Business Blueprint

Hi there,

I am relatively new to the Solution Manager and currently try to evaluate its benefits in implementation projects.

One thing I am struggling with is the connection between the (ASAP) Roadmaps and the Blueprint/Configuration of a project.

Obviously there is a guideline that shows me how to proceed in an implementation project. There are accelerators and a possibility to store project documentation in the business blueprint and also in the Roadmap. You can also manually assign documents to the Roadmap that are/were originally a part of the Business Blueprint. But is there any possibility to:

a) automate this process in the sense that e.g. a document that is being created in the blueprint automatically appears in the roadmap-documentation?

b) display the scenario/process/process step that is the source of the document which is being imported/assigned to the Roadmap in this Roadmap? This would be important for a better structuring of the documentation in the Roadmap.

c) import/assign an ASAP-Accelerator or any other Roadmap-Documentation to a Blueprint-Scenario?

Thank you for dealing with my thread… and hopefully for replying;-)

Cheers

Art

Hello Arthur,

see below what you can and what you can not do at the moement ( Solution Manager 4.0 )

a) it is not possible to automate this process at the moment

b) the only thing you can do is a where used which shows you the node where the document is attached. But it does not show the path to the root

c) accelerators can not be assigned to the blueperint structure directly. A workaround is using the Web Link functionality. Open the accelerator in the roadmap, navigate into the attributes and generate a URL into the clipboard. In the blueprint structure create aWeb Link document and paste the URL you of the accelerator.

Best regards
