SAP Portal NWA developer traces

Can anyone help me to find out why developer traces are not updating in NWA. I know after server restart it will again start updating. But want to know the reason why it is happening. All other logs are updating fine but developer traces are not. Please experts help.

Issue ListLogFiles function for every instance of the system. This could be done as follows:

For every instance of the system, navigate within cmd to /usr/sap/<SID>/<INST>/exe directory and execute the command:

    sapcontrol -host <the_host> -nr <instance_number> -function ListLogFiles > LF.txt

This will generate file (LF.txt in /usr/sap/<SID>/<INST>/exe) which will contain the full list of log files of the respective instance.

For example, if there are two instances the command should look like:

    For instance 0:

    /usr/sap/<SID>/<INST>/exe>sapcontrol -host <the_host> -nr 0 –function ListLogFiles > LF0.txt

    For instance 1:

    /usr/sap/<SID>/<INST>/exe>sapcontrol -host <the_host> -nr 1 –function ListLogFiles > LF1.txt

Note that If the web service is protected the command should be:

    sapcontrol -host <the_host> -user <administrator user> <password> -nr <instance_number> -function ListLogFiles > LF.txt

Analyze the result of the command for any log files older than six months, please delete them or move them outside of usr\sap directory, restart and to check if the issue still persists. Cleaning the system from those files usually solves a lot of logging related issues and improves the performance.
