Can somebody tell me how to display the characteristic value, instead of the characteristic description using TCode IE36? I have tried to change the class, and also characteristic layout, but hasn't had any luck. I also tried to do it from EI02, but I don't find an option to change it.

Hi Peter,

Sorry for not being more specific. We created a characteristic with the values and descriptions shown below:

In IE36, the layout shows the characteristic description, but not the value, which is the one needed for Fleet Department to calculate vehicle replacement. See below:

As I initially mentioned, I tried changing the characteristic layout and even thought about switching the data by putting the description in the character value fields and viceversa. But, it won't look right, and will also lose the current data and will have to re-enter it, for what I noticed when testing it.

I appreciate if you can help me with some ideas.
