Dear SAP Guru' s

We have a requirement to check the print preview of the billing document before accounting document generates.

Kindly let me know if there is any standard config/setting for the above requirement

Thanks in advance

Probably, you wish to explain a bit more about your business process.

You are either creating billing documents with posting block or you are trying to preview printouts for documents, which are not saved to the database.

In the first case it is possible to preview a printout, which might not be completely accurate (if you are using some of the FI data in the form or if you use specific localizations with number assignments or digital signatures). In the second case - I don't think that you can do this in a standard system.

Also, if you are previewing a document, for which the FI posting was not carried out due to incorrect master data, the end result could be different.

Usually, when you check out in a hotel, before creating the official invoice, the clerks give you a proforma with unofficial numbering for verification purposes. If everything is OK, they issue the final invoice.

I suppose, that this is a common practice in many countries.

I am not really sure what is the purpose of print preview in your case - in most companies the invoices are generated in the background, then printed or e-mailed via batch jobs. It is very unlikely that a business user would go through invoices one by one to inspect them, unless this is only for a few documents per day and/or is a part of a workflow.

There is probably a requirement on your access sequence or output determination procedure checking for errors or if the invoice is released to accounting before creating the output. You could remove the requirement, but then you run the risk of sending out invoices with problems. If you really want to preview them you can create a second output without this check similar to Veselina's hotel example.
