1099 MISC file:Record sequence not functioning

Hi,

I am downloading 1099 details in a text file (which is to be sent to IRS).

Program: S_P00_07000134 - Generic Withholding Tax Reporting

Tree type: WTRE

Format tree: IDWTFILE_US_1099

However the record sequence is not calculating the sequence correctly for T/A/B/C records. It is calculating correctly for K and F records.

Can somebody please help me in solving this? We need to submit the file to IRS.

Thanks in advance,

Nitish

    Hi Nitish

Please check in the DMEE tree properties - tab SORT/KEY FIELD. Set sequence properly then you will get the sequence calculation correct.

    Thanks

I am using program RFIDYYWT to get the file for the IRS.It has some info on it but has a lot of zeros as well which probably stand for something but I do not know what.Do you know what to do with this file, whether I can format it better and how it is sent to the IRS.

I can send the file to you to see what it looks like if you could give me some suggestions.Does the file have to be further translated or can it be sent how it is to the IRS?Any replies would be much appreciated.
