Changing the Item category in Free of charge sales orders of KMAT materials.

Hi All,

Out business requirement for MTO scenario KMAT materials :

Our business requirement is like the below.

1) they have free of charge samples order with price and without price.

Present scenario ( As is),

while creating the Free of charge sales order FD system is picking TAC and grayed out, we configured YTAC for pricing, but due to grayed out unable to change to YTAC for pricing.

let us know what to do that item category should not grayed out when creating the order for MTO scenario.

1) TAC itam cat without pricing.

2) YTAC with price for free charge orders.

I don't think it is possible to change the item category of KMAT material in sales order because of BOM configuration. Configuration strategy and and structure mode will play a role here.

I would suggest you to determine new item category (copy of TAC) with different sales document type for free of charge sales.You can handle pricing with the help of different pricing procedure or routines to give it for free.
