Dear Snigdha,

Full Load helps in loading the data with our selections ( No Sequence is required ) . It doesnot trigger any Delta, You can only Init the selections for those you would require delta data to flow. In certain Scenario's like where the data is very Huge and delta is only required for current year changes, at that point it is wise to do full loads till last year and just run an Init for this year to get changes correspondingly, and as you know that all the sources doesnot support Delta ( Master data ) . so for them we require a Full Load in the Package. so thats how you are given the option. How effectively you use the FULL Load option along with Init is to be decided on the scenario..

Hope we all gave you the Idea you require.

Thanks,

Krish

Hi,

You can see one more use of full upload in the repair request upload to the ODS.

So you use this option , if you need to reupload the range of data with out distrubing the existing delta.

hi,

though the full load and initiallization are same .

initiallization is used for initialize delta process:i.e

once the initiallization process is sucessfuil then only you get a option of 'delta load' in infopacakge.

whereas full load extract all record but it do not initialize delta process.

Hello Snigdha,

As Bhanu correcttly advised, "Full and Init without data transfer" can be used in combination which will be same as (only) Initialization.

But, with Full load u have control. In case u want to delete some full load and reload the data, there will not be any issue. But if u have multiple successful inits and u want to delete one of them, then all your inits will be deleted automatically.

So, in case u r planning to load huge data, preferebly load using multiple full load (full repair for ODS) and then load init without data transfer.

Hi,

You can use a full load in combination with an Init Without Data Transfer...commonly used practise for breaking up large loads, or loading from ODS to cube.

Hope this helps...
