In managing customer consigned inventory, what are the best practices in setting up inventory locations?
Not really clear where your problems are.
for customer consignment you don't setup any location, you move the goods to your customer and they are technically stored in SAP with the customer number at plant level. No storage location data at all, as the goods are not located in your premise.
And with vendor consignment you just make use of your normal storage location structure that you use anyway for your own inventory.
