Transfer SOP data to Demand mgt.

Hi all

Could anyone help me out with this situation of flexible planning.

I have created an information structure, planning hierarchy, planning type. I have given some planning values to all the materials in the planning type. Now, i want to transfer all the materials plan into the demand managament together and not material by material. Is there any way out. I am trying Mass Processing but with no fruits.

Could anyone tell me the exact methos to transfer the values and also the process. please

Hi Chandra...

Normally planning will be done for 0 level material not for component...

if you do planning for header maerial is req. will flow to its component duing MRP rum where system explods BOM...

So idealy you should not do planning at component level...

if you use planning strategy 70 then it may possible but i am not sure about this as i have no tested it before...

Hi Hemanth

In our case, we are planning even for the components level as the material is having a sale order BOM in which case the item category of header material is set to LUMF which does not plan in MRP.

but we also need a Production BOm as there can be reworks and disasseblies done very frequently.

Thanks a lot for your detailed explanation but still i am facing one problem.

the problem is , if the materials that i want to plan for are as components under one of the header item, then they are not being transferred. can you give me a solution for this. I hope i was clear enough.

You can use transaction MC90 (Transfer Material to Demand Management).

Following are the steps to follow for mass processing.

before that you first check the ref. fields and table names of key fig and chara. in infostructure. also parameters of key fig and chara.in SPRO.

1. create Transfer profile in SPRO LO-GEN>LIS>FUNCION>MASSPROCESSING>TRANSFER PROFILE

Transfer prof. SXXX>DM

Strategy 9

Table SXXX

Field name ABSAT

Reqmts type VSF

Version 00

2. Create planning activity

GEN>LIS>FUNCION>MASSPROCESSING>Define activity.

Key 99D

Act. Sequence 0

Planning type ZS999

Activity UEBERGABE

Transfer prof. SXXX>DM

3. Create Mass processing Job MC8D

- Assign info structure, version and planning Type.

- create a variant with desired values of key fig.

- assign planning activity.

- save the variant.

3. Schedule planning job for background job MC8G /SM36

Job name ABAP Prog. T Code

RESET STATUS For job RMCP6RES SM36

Refresh Planning hierarchy RMCAXXX6 SM36

SOP TRANSFER DM RMCP6BIN MC8G/SM36

4. First 2 jobs has to be performed before every run of mass processing of SOP to DM

5. In Refresh Planning hierarchy programme name will be RMCAXXX6 ---XXX is Infostructuere no S999 i.e. RMCA9996
