Unable to do PFCG Transaction Recording

I have a requirement to create mass derived roles. I have started automating PFCG Transaction. after completion of role copy step, recording was completed automatically. I have gone through the related threads but i didn't find clear explanation about why it it happening and what is the best alternative way to create mass derived roles?

In one of the related threads I have seen that ECATT scripting to be done. Can anyone explain me what is ECATT script and

Is this is ABAPER task or any other functional task?

Hello Kiran

Regarding your question on ECATT, it is SAP testing tool and can be done by either a functional or an ABAPER.

ECATT scripting should be used for testing purposes, if you want to automate the PFCG transaction, as per my opinion please try to search a BAPI and if none is there please go with BDC.
