Nav Attribute in DSO

I am using DSO Which is used as intermediate layer and then we have cube on top. so do i need to select any nav attributes that i want to use in cube also in DSO or no need, since i am not doing any reporting on DSO. SO I will only turn on the nav attribute in cube and not is DSO please confirm

that is only for DSO Reporting. if you want to report on DSO, you need to enable navigation attributes.

yeah you need to turn it on Cube only if you are nor reporting against the DSo. anyway when u turn it on, its gonna fetch the values from the master data table.
