I want to access sql server 2014 using jtdc.To achieve this i have installed jtds-1.3.1-dist.zip (551.2 kB) and modified my jar file accordingly. My system is running on JRE 8.

I have downloaded Microsoft JDBC Driver 6.0 for SQL Server and copied the dll to to above jtds.jar file location.

When i am trying to connect to IDT my connection is getting failed and it shows "net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver"

Please provide your expert advice on this issue.

Thanks

Vikram

Hello Vikram,

You need SQL for jdbc drivers

Microsoft JDBC Driver 6.0 for SQL Server

Microsoft JDBC Driver 4.0 for SQL Server

Make sure you copy sqljdbc_xa.dll (From x86 OR x64) to MSSQL "Binn" folder from "Microsoft JDBC Driver 4.0 for SQL Server\sqljdbc_4.0\enu\xa"

Target Copy Example: X:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Binn

Also need to run xa_install.sql script on your DB instance where you connecting to (Microsoft JDBC Driver 4.0 for SQL Server\sqljdbc_4.0\enu\xa)

Thanks

Yogesh

Hi ,

Thanks for your reply.

when i am trying to test connection in IDT connections .I am getting an error "Unknown server host name ".What are the possible issues related to this error.

I modified sqlsrv.sbo file to connect to jtds and reverted back all the changes i did.But still i am getting this error unkown server host name when i am trying to test connection. Please provide your thoughts on this issue.

Thanks,

Vikram
