Setup SSO on BI 4.1 using CA siteminder.

Hello -

Need to help to setup SSO using CA Siteminder on BI 4.1 platform.

At present user will be authenticated against LDAP to log in. Now we want to use CA Siteminder for this authentication. This is currently hosted on Tomcat and there is no Siteminder agent binary available for Tomcat.

In the compatibility matrix, I saw support with Siteminder 12.0 version and that mean we need to install apache in front of tomcat and configure this agent.

In SAP Admin document, Mentioned configuring 4.X Agent when configuring CA Siteminder.

Do we need to,

1. Configure both Apache agent and 4.X agent in order to configure SSO?

2. What changes are required in conf files to configure Siteminder authentication?

I am looking for some help in setting up SSO on BI 4.1 using SiteMinder. Please share some experience if any one did this setup already.

If you use trusted authentication 1593628 (initial setup) and then you select a method like http_header to pickup the sm_user. With trusted auth the siteminder version doesn't matter and you can pickup the header from a portal or other creative ways.
