HTTP Calls from XSA

Hello,

i'm currently working with a HANA Express 2.0 version on my laptop which has the webide and XSA stack installed. In my project i need to make HTTP Post/Put/Delete calls to another system/server in order to send REST requests.

I already tried that with XS(classic) project on HANA Studio using .xshttpdest files. For that to work i need to pass the package path where the .xshttpdest file is. However, using the Web IDE with built MTA's i can't find the path to the projects in any of the packages available in my HANA db.

Is there another way to handle HTTP requests to other servers in XS Advanced? If not, where can i find the files i created in the MTA Projects?

Best regards

In XS Advanced the HANA repository is not used anymore (as in XS classic). So you will not find the design-time files in HANA, just in your workspace or in the Git repo (if one is used).

Also .xshttpdest files do not exist anymore in XSA. They are replaced by user provided services. Just check the Dev Guide for XSA to get more details on user provides services.

Florian

Thanks! I'll look into that, although i just saw the usage of user provided services for cross schema access to other tables and databases only and no example of a HTTP call to other urls
