Missing link of Michal's article

Former Member

Dear SDN,

I could not locate the article on RFC API for mapping look ups by Michal Krawczyk. The link I have is

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/uuid/801376c6-0501...

I get the same link for the article even from the author's Business card. Can you let me know, if the article was moved to some other place.

Thanks,

Jai Shankar

Okay, yes, um, "Content Strategist"... It's an admittedly hokey name. I'm finding it to be more and more appropriate for what I do, however.

I'm "CS" for BI, KM, Security, NW Platform, and a few other areas on the site, after having been in the field for some years as an SAP consultant, and before that in the classroom training SAP consultants.

What I do as an SDN CS is help contributors figure out how best to contribute - through a blog, a wiki page, an article, or other "modality." I also dig deep in all of SAP's internal repositories for stuff that I can bring out into the bright light of day. And perhaps most importantly, I cultivate contributors from both inside and outside SAP, never tiring in my search for the good stuff to post on my pages :^).

Sometimes it feels a little lonely over on my pages - the action appears to be elsewhere, in the forums, in the blogosphere, in the wiki. Still, we who toil away in the dusty shelves of the library, sweeping, straightening, and updating, we also serve the community . I like to think that, when you need a solid reference, it's going to be one of the things I've brought to SDN that you're going to find. You'll say "Thank goodness! Here it is!" I'll smile.

Keeps me going :^).

And from my perspective, keep going Scott and fellow CSes and continue to carry on the work of surfacing excellent content to the pages!

When I was in TechEd in Bangalore and saw the community interact with Uri L. (okay, Uri Levy ), I was very impressed with how well received and recognized he was for the work he does as a content strategist (Uri was the person who originally launched the BI area and helped make it a most read area of our website.)

I saw Uri with SAP colleagues and external contributors and it was apparent that he earned respect for his years of work behind the scenes.

I think the community at large should be apprised of the work of each and every one who helps drive quality content on/to the site. And although there is much action and passion in the blogsphere, forums and wiki, as you so rightly point out, I believe there are a significant number of readers who are very grateful for the work of the content strategists.

I believe, as our community ability to rank content evolves and community surfaces good content, so too the work of the CS will evolve to make the pages that highlight such content, coherent, aesthetic, and logically accessible.

With many thanks to a community member, Satish Reddy, we now have a copy of Michal's PDF file and will restore it shortly to the library.

Thanks community for bringing this to our attention and supplying the "missing" goods. We are also checking why this was accidently deleted.

I've sent another reminder to the editors.

Okay, I'm not the editor for the XI library but I've taken an interest in this thread...

The URL that's showing the 404 points to a document that's no longer in the library - I've done a pretty thorough search for it by name and by author and it is just not there... Either the document has been deliberately removed for a particular reason, or it was assigned a new permalink that did not find its way into Michal's business card or into the blogs from which he points to the doc. I'll continue my sleuthing. In the mean time, I have sent Michal mail asking his help. Thanks for your persistence and patience.

Scott J.
