All,

I am running MRP daily in back ground .

For raw materials it will generate planned orders .

For Engg Spares I am using CBP and requirement will trigger with the same MRP run .

So whether it is possible to create directly PR's for Engg spares only ?

Hi,

in the settings of the MRP-run You can basically determine, if planned orders should be created or purchase req's. For example: Call MD02 and check the settings respsctively both possible entries for PR's (1 or 2).

As a result for each material which has in the material master record in the MRP2-view the indicator (MARC-BESKZF: F = externally procurred) the system generates PR's.

To be able to differ on material level (even for a single material) You have to create a so called MRP-Profile in customizing and then assign this profile to the material in question (in Your case to all the Engg spares) on MRP 1-view , filed MARC-DISGR). If you want to change a lot of materials You can do this easily using MM17 [ mass change].

By using the MRP-profile you can determine on material level if MRP-run results in a planned order [PLO] or PR. Kindly note: The MRP initially always creates PLO no matter if the settings are F or X (!). Only by changing the parameters in the MRP-run You can skipp for material which are "indicated" with F the PLO and directly create PR's.

Hi,

As charlie is suggesting,change procurement type for all spares part as External.

It will work.

If you want PR's for all you Engg material then make the procurement type External only in material master then system will generate the Reqs only

Its not working .

Pls see that , I have already made settings for MRP run( which will be done in background ) that planned orders will be generated .

This planned orders made settings for Raw materials .

But for Spare I need PR.

Any suggestion ?

no no no.........you have to change the procurement type for material in mm02 for MRP 2 view as external then system automatically generate the Reqs only
