Hi All,

I have just imported the SAP BP 1610 OP into SolMan into an Import Branch.

As a parent branch I have defined a "Design" branch. The FI consultant has reviewed the high level scope and has communicated that only some of the processes will be implemented.

Under the import branch I have after import :

Solution > Business Processes > SAP Best Practices Import > “S/4 HANA, On premise enterprise edition (BP_OP_ENTPR_S4HANA1611_DEV3)”

Based on a document I have from SAP the recommendation is to create a new customer Scenario:

  1. Solution > Business Processes > CUSTOMER S/4
  2. Move(not copy) those selected scope items from SAP Best Practices Import scenario to the new CUSTOMER S/4 scenario

After releasing only the CUSTOMER S/4 Scenario (right click Release change) from Import >> Design I see both content from SAP Best Practices Import and CUSTOMER S/4

I would appreciate any info or own experience or recommendations on this topic.

  • I would like to know from a documentation perspective from the imported content what exactly should be transported/released to Design and then further to Development and PRD?
  • Should only the approved scope be released directly from the imported content.
  • How much of the imported SAP BP can i expect in the Production Branch?

Regards

Juan

Hi Juan,

Can you please send a screenshot to explain what you meant by "After releasing only the CUSTOMER S/4 Scenario (right click Release change) from Import >> Design I see both contents from SAP Best Practices Import and CUSTOMER S/4".

How the content move from Import branch to Design Branch is a very interesting at the same time takes a while getting used to. I gained some experience designing the Solution Design for few customers. I will be able to help you.

Thanks and Regards,
