Hello Experts

I am trying to configure Exception Handling for Exception Code CHBD and have added have added Step 01 Desktop HU Warehouse Task in it.

But although I am able to Change Destination Bin while confirming WT in foreground but when i try to change destination Bin using RF (/SCWM/RFUI) I cant do it and I don't see any option to enter the Exception Code there.

Exception Code CHBD:

RF menu:

After changing destination Bin error:

Also I am not clear on the use of 3rd node"Assign Internal Exception Codes to External Exception Code' when we have assigned them in the first node "Define Exception Code'.

Moreover in the define Exception code we can assign different Internal Exception Codes(eg CHBD,CHHU) to same Exception Code (Eg CHBD) depending on the Business Context.??

Hi, Exception code should be assigned to internal process code against the relevant business context. These internal process codes SAP defined and not editable. Against your business context CHHU & CHBD are both assigned to same internal process code. regarding RF screen, you can find one input area beside ' F1 Queries' , there you enter exception code after changing the destination bin. Hi Akhil,

Please find my comments below,

Ques: I am not clear on the use of 3rd node"Assign Internal Exception Codes to External Exception Code' when we have assigned them in the first node "Define Exception Code'.

Ans: For Changing the destination bin, SAP had provided the standard internal process code CHBD. So while defining the exception code CHBD for your warehouse, you will assign the internal process code under "Maintain Process Parameters" node.

So for this case, we dont have to go for 3rd step and also there is no standard internal exception code available. But for some cases, there will not be standard internal code but there will be a internal exception code will be available. In such cases, we will map our exception code with standard internal exception code along with warehouse.

Example: For CRID - Inspection document creation using exception code. For this scenario, we dont have any standard internal process code but there is an internal exception code QDCR provided by SAP. In order to make use of this, we will map Internal exception code QDCR with exception code CRID. So basically based on scenario we will have to make this assignment.

Ques: Moreover in the define Exception code we can assign different Internal Exception Codes(eg CHBD, CHHU) to same Exception Code (Eg CHBD) depending on the Business Context.??

Ans: No, we can not. CHBD and CHHU are internal process code. CHBD is for changing the destination bin and CHHU is for changing the destination HU. As both are meant for different process (Bin and HU data change), we have to define 2 different exception code and assign it under exception code accordingly.
