To stop loading data for the particular attribute for the 0material.

I have Pack form object and it is used, as an attribute of 0Materail.pack form Reporting - char 4.This is material mast is loading from other BW system and Flat file.

In Other BW system 2 attribute are exists (pack form format- Char 3 and pack form reporting- char 4).

Actually they have wrongly mapped the object i.e pack form Reporting - char 4.

With pack form format- Char 3) now the data is loading from pack form format- Char 3.

Actually I need need data from pack form Reporting - char 4( i.e from Other BW systems) for this I need to change at transfer rules level.

Instead of changing the 0Materila transfer rules, can I stop data loading from the pack form Reporting object using any routine at Info package level? And can load pack form Reporting data from flat file?

Is there any possible to prevent loading data for the particular attribute for the 0material.

Any answer will appreciate

Thanx In advance

Regards

Uma.

hi,

to stop loading data from the source

remove the mapping of the source and target field in info object by using

-> key

to load from flat file you again map the field.

Hi,

I have mapped the feindthat is fine.

another problem,

Regarding ALPHA Conversion. I am fetching the data from other BW system pack form object, which is having ALPHA Conver at info object level.

Where as in my BW system, my pack form object level. there is no ALPHA Conver AT INFO OBJECT LEVEL.

for this one i need to apply a routine.

Can you send me the sample code to apply this routine/function ('CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT' ) module in the transfer rules level.

My info object is ZSR_GMPAF. The source system field is /BIC/YCLPCKFRM.

The data source is 8YCLPCKFRMT

Could you please send me the sample code then i will apply.

Uma.

I would just change the transfer rules and map Pack form- Reporting to infoobject in 0MATERIAL and load the master data again. The value in 0MATERIAL will be overlayed and I think that is what you want.

Thanks Geo

Yes, i will agree with you. With out mapping/change at transfer rules level. Shall we stop to load the data for the Pack form reporting.( i.e is there any other way to create routine at info package level).

Anyhow this object is mapped to Flat file source. so i will load from there.

can you suggest me.

Thanks,

Uma.

You can stop the load if you wish. There is nothing on the infopackage that you can use to change the map. You need to change the transfer rules. Or, change your flat file so that you replace your pack form (char 3) with the pack form (char 4). However, check the Communication Structure of your infosource for loading from a flat file to insure the format of the field your are replacing will work. If it is already char 4, then you do not need to change the infosource.

In the infopackage to load from the flat file, there is an icon on the External Data tab called "Preview". Use this to check a few records to see if the infopackage will work before executing the full load.

Thanks Geo,

Thanks for your help.

ALPHA Conversion tables

and one more thing, regarding ALPHA Conversion. I am fetching the data from other BW system pack form object, which is having ALPHA Conver at info object level.

Where as in my BW system, my pack form object level. there is no ALPHA Conver AT INFO OBJECT LEVEL.

When i am applying transfer rules, it is giving warning message like

"Conver Exits for assigned objects in consistence".

i have checked in the RSRV level, it was giving the below message.

Characteristic ZPACK has no conversion routine; No check necessary

Message no. RSRV203.

Is there any conversion table is available to check this.

Please suggest me
