Hi
We recently upgraded XI 3.0 to SP18 - we set the number of retries in the adapter engine ( thru J2EE visual admin - XI Adapter -- custom number of retries ) to 1.
However , I find that in a scenario with the jdbc adapter that creates an error, the number of retries go on and on ( not even stopping at the default setting of 3 ) . Even in the audit log - I do not see the retry count being given after every try - I see that the retries keep going on and on to several pages in the audit log -
Did anybody encounter this basic problem in SP18 - Any correct pointers, solutions, suggestions shared will be rewarded . This is a critical problem and we are under a time constraint in this upgrade.

You set the below parameter in Integration Engine and once restart the XI server, I think that will surely solve the problem. And also tell me that have you restarted the XI Server after setting parameter into the J2EE visual admin? If not try out that.

Value : 1
SXMB_ADM -->Integration Engine Configuration -->Specific Configuration.

Can you confirm and check if this is what you are trying,
