Hi ALL

Facing problem with ADAPTER Engine.....we are using PI 7.0..

here is the desciption of the error:

Attempt to fetch cache data from Integration Directory failed; cache could not be updated

[Fetch Data]: Unable to find an associated SLD element (source element: SAP_XIIntegrationServer, [CreationClassName, SAP_XIIntegrationServer, string, Name, is.03.server3, string], target element type: SAP_BusinessSystem)

We found some SAP Note 764176 related to this issue...IN second step , as per note we have to delete all the Technical system of type EXCHANGE INFRASTRUCTURE, If we delete that..there is no option for creating Technical sytem os Type EXCHANGE INFRASTRUCTURE...

we have done Template based configuration for Configuring PI Server...

Now when we run this template for second time ,it will struck at 72% ..

Ur suggestion & guidance is necessary to fix this error ASAP

Regds,

vasanth.

Hi Vasanth,

I don't know what to do with the template, but I can tell you how to fix that error you were getting. You need to do the following:

<b>Step 1.</b> Log on to the SLD. Goto Administration->Content Maintenance

<b>Step 2. </b>From the drop boxes, select the following:

Subset: Associations

Class: XI Contained Integration Server

<b>Step 3. </b>You will get a list of the XI servers listed in the SLD. Select your particular server. The next screen will show you details. There will be a link near the top of the box saying something like '1 Associated Instance'. This should actually be '3 Associated Instances'. Click on this link.

If there are less than 3 associated instances, you will need to add associations. I will list all three here, please create the ones that are missing.

<u>Association 1.</u> XI Contained Integration Server

Add XI Domain: Domain <i><domainname></i>

<u>Association 2.</u> XI Integration Server Logical Identity

Add Business System: <i><Business System for the Integration Server></i>

<u>Association 3.</u> XI Sub-System viewed Application System

Add BC System: <i><SID> on <Hostname></i>

(There will be a huge list to select from, make sure that you select from the subgroup 'BC System').

Save this and exit the SLD. This should solve your problem.

If you need, give me your email address and I can send you a screen-shot of what it should look like with the associations properly created.

Do let me know if this helps.

Cheers

Hi Vasanth,

Try the solution I have provided below. I had the same problems with my PI 7.0 installation, and this fixed it.

Hi,

As per the solution , i'm able to see only 2 associated & I added the third one i.e XI Integration server logical identity..

I had added that, still the problem is not solved ..

Adapter engine status is in still red..

Hi Vasanth,

Reason of the problem is

Go to SLD Technical system -> Exchange infrastructure -> Colum Application System it has to appear (<SID> of <servername>) .

Check except Domain component for all other components has to appear

the above one..

Have a look at OSS Note: 764176.

Next check Technical system Web as ABAP & Web as Java has created.

Create the Busines system based on above technical system and maintain the role of business system is 'Integration Sever'

Hi Venu,

As you have mentioned , i'm follwing through the note..we got strucked up in 2nd step...

its says that delete all the technical system of type EXCHANGE INFRASTRUCTURE..If we delete that ..there is no option to create the Technical system type EXCHANGE INFRASTRUCTURE..

we are using PI 7.0, SP06....

we haven't configured the Integration server manually ..we have done it through the TEMPLATE...

Thanks & regards,

Hi Vasanth,

Don't delete any of Technical system in Exchange infrastructure.

what i am saying when you choose technical system type is Exchange infrastructure.

check Applocation system colum your SID and server details are there.

if not there go to SLD-> Administration -> Content Maintenance

Subset : Landscape Description

Class : XI IR (or) XI ID (or) XI IS (or) XI RWB (or) XI AFW

Select any one and continue..then click on which ever you selected

Click on top Associated Instances

Click on New Association push button

select Association type : XI Sub-System viewed application system

Under BC System -> select your SID on Servername

Same thing do the all other components also..then create the BS

Finally go to ID, Environment -> Clear sld data cache.

Venu.
