How to derive WBS partner functions from IHPA table into COPA

Hello ,

We are maintaining partner functions at WBS level ( WBS partner tab ) which we want to derive in COPA segment / settlement rule .

For this we have created custom characteristics and have created derivation rule to derive partner function from IHPA table .

Our problem is that in derivation rule we cant find option to derive latest counter value . As of now we can just maintain constant to derive initial counter value ( 0) .

But it will not work for all scenario . Ex . Initially X value was maintained which later changed to Y . Hence IHPA will have two counter value and we need to derive latest counter value .

Kindly suggest how this can be achieved with table lookup and without going for enhancement options.
