Can I display MC46 items in ALV, instead of Simple list, and export to Excel?

Hi experts,

I have a requirement from a client that wants to export listed items on MC46 to Excel.

The problem is: he would like to have all information from "Triple-line" option in a single line in the exported Excel.

But when you save a local file from menu "System > List > Save > Local File" and select the "Spreadsheet" option, it's saving data in 3 separate lines.

Does anyone know an alternative report to MC46 that outputs in ALV format, that output information in one line, instead of 3?

Any other information would be of great help!

Thanks!

Please always make sure that you searched before asking, using the search here in the community on top right had 6 results for the search term MC46 ALV , beside that almost all already said it is not available is this from a SAP employee: https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/2072447

Hi Jürgen,

Thanks for your prompt answer!

I confess that I had already checked that post, but as it was more than 6 years old (2011), I still had hopes that SAP might have released a newer solution or maybe a new t-code with the ALV option.

There's also report MC.9, but it doesn't give you as many selection screen options as MC46, specially the field "Period: last consumption".

MC.9 is an LIS report, while MC46 is a document evaluation. They serve totally different purposes. Sometimes, for very specific needs you could eventually substitute one report with another one, but SAP does not create 2 different reports for the same results.

Reports are anyway a neglected area as almost any customer wants to see something different in reports, thats why each company has an army of developers.

Also there are other solutions for reports, e.g. Business Warehouse .
