Hi All,

Would you know what parameter can I use to restrict the number of background process a user can run? For example limit their BGD execution to a maximum of 2 run per user only.

Hi John,

You can only control if a user is able to release jobs or not. If a cetain user is allowed to release jobs, they can do it as often as they want. User training and authorizations are your only tools.

There is more information on the SAP Help Portal about Authorizations for background at the following location and also note #101146:

Basis Components -> Computing Center Management System (BC-CCM) -> Background Processing -> Authorizations for Background Processing.

You can control the total background processes and ensure some are set aside for class A jobs only but that is another topic and not important if I understand your question correctly.
