Our Financial team has created a workflow template for the process of managing business travel expense processing. When the transport of that template is imported into our consolidation system, the import takes about 6 hours, with the majority of that being spent on the activation of objects in the "Import Steps Not Specific to transport request". The only object in the transport is this template, there are no database table changes, or widely used data element changes, etc. that could cause the normal kinds of long-running imports. Is there something specific regarding these workflow templates that causes these long activations, and is there any way to make them import faster? I was not able to see what was occurring in SM50, etc. while the import was occurring, so I have little evidence to work from on this problem.
check when was last db stat run
may be during data importing was taking time.

Not all transports are affected (and we do dozens per day), only the transports for work flow templates (2 in the last month).

Dear George,
First, check your /usr/sap/trans directory on OS level. Usually, long running transport is because that directory is full. You have to extend it first.
