Unable to login using SAP Users in abap stack

Former Member

Hi All,

I installed PI 7.0 recently. now that i'm up with my server i was not able to login to the 001 client of the ABAP stack using the users SAP* or DDIC. since i don't have any other super user on the client i'm not able to copy a new client.

Though i'm able to login using the j2ee_admin user but since it doesn't have any abap rights i'm unable to do much.

i activated the super user through the config tool and logged into the visual administrator using that but i was still not able to reset the password for sap*.

I encounterd the error message "Unable to force password change" look onto the status bar for details.

status bar jst said unable to change password.

Can anyone help me.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Vishal,

note that in a double-stack installation, ABAP is the leading stack. All users must be created in the ABAP stack.

You should use your DDIC user to log on in client 000.

Hi,

I have the access to the 000 client using both DDIC and SAP* but i need to login to the 001 client because my all default portal user like PISUPER, J2ee_admin etc. are created on this 001 client. So, i need to make a copy of 001 client and start actively using newly created(say 300) client.
