E-Recruiting and ECC Integration Password and Authorization.

Hello,

We are running a stand alone E-Recruiting 3.0 with bringing data from our SAP HR system using distribution model. Everything is working correctly, but the client does not want to have SSO, so internal users are brought in to E-Rec, but their passwords are not, and they have them due to ESS. Also when they are brought in, for some reason with Authorization as a reference user of External Candidate. Any help?

Thanks,

Alex

Hello,

This is not a badi but a function module and it is called RSEC_GENERATE_PASSWORD.

Nicole,

thats right. But it is basically used inside a BAdi provided by SAP for the data transfer between HR and E-rec.

This is the same one used for ALE scenario , i dont remember name but u can go to SE18 and type in HRRCF*.

Sounds good, any idea why when we bring these candidates to e-Recruiting they are brought in as external reference users in the security profiles? Is there some setting somewhere for that?

Thanks

I did some testing with this and found that if the employee was changed to inactive status or was terminated, they are switched to reference userid of RCF_CAND_EXT. Hope this helps

Alex,

Can you be a bit clear.

I mean regarding passwords, the internal candidates dont have passwords for E-rec. do you need to generate or what!

Yes we need password for them, because we are not using SSO or the portal they manually have to login to e-Recruiting. We have ess, so they all have ID's and passwords on the SAP HR system. I thought maybe we can bring in their passwords from there, because they are syncronized to their network id's.

Thanks,

May be you can generate a unique pattern , for instance depending on employee no. and then use the BAdi to generate the passwords.

What is the name of this Badi that generates these passwords?
