We are using solution manager implemetation tool to store project documentation and I would like to send the URL to the document to user who do not have access to solution manager to view the document. Can any one tell me how to configure this. In transaction SICF i have maintained the user name and password for /default_host/sap/bc/slomanDocuments service and activated this service. But when i click on the message I get a error message you do not have authorisation for this funtion. If any one has configured this can you let me know the step by step guide

Hello Pravin,

from what you wrote it is not clear when you get this error message. Is it when you use the URL which has been generated for your document ?

Apart from that what you have done is correct. But it is better to create an external alias /sap/bc/solman/solmanDocuments in SICF for that service and store user and password there. The user you assign to that service should have at least the role SAP_SOL_KW_DIS.

Best regards

Hello Pravin,

does this error also occur when you attach your user to the service ? Did you select any options on that screen where you enter the logon data in SICF ?

Best regards

Hello Pravin,

to be sure I have to ask once more:

did you attach your own user, which is the user with which you logon to the system yourself, to that service ?

In addition I would need the exact error message which is displayed in the browser window.

Thanks Jürgen

Dear Jurgen

I have created a service user account and attached that to the solman document service, i have even tried attaching my user account but result is the same. Even if i remove name and password from the logon data i am geeting the same error message. This suggest to me that it is trying to login with some othe user credentials

The error message displayed in the borwser is :

You do not have authorization for this function

When i test the service in SICF i get the following error message in the :

No range could be determined for class

Thanks for spending time on this for me, really appreciated

Hello Pravin,

can you please test service /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/system. It should send a popup to logon to the system. Does this work ?

Please check also that you have activateed the option "Enable Integrated Windows Authentication" in your Intenet Explorer unter Internet Options->Advanced->Security

Thanks Jürgen
