Hi Rakesh,
The <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/a5/1a1e3e7181b60ae10000000a114084/frameset.htm">architecture</a> of webdynpro helps u understand the model in which applications are built. It follows the MVC architecture viz Model View Controller-i.e. the business logic is seperated from the view or UI and the controller takes part in controlling the flow from views to backend support.
NetWeaver Developer Studio helps in creating Webdynpro applications very easily with drag and drop controls and very little coding to be done.
Heres the perfect <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a422d090-0201-0010-6ebf-b323b0a44de0">guide</a> for you to start of with webdynpro development.
This <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/webdynpro?rid=/webcontent/uuid/1506a04c-0a01-0010-c281-9cae0258f2fb">link</a> gives you more PDFs.
Hope this content is useful to you.

Hi Varma,
The NetWeaver Portal is the portal provided as part of the SAP NetWeaver products offered to the customer. EP stands for Enterprise Portal. One of the capabilities this portal has, as oppose to other portals that exist in the market, is the synergy with other SAP systems like the BI, ERP and other applications provided by SAP.
You have business packages to import into the portal, to help you manage your business, and get all the information you need using one entry point - the portal.
Imagine that you login to the portal in the morning, and through it reach all the applications of the different systems installed in your landscape, instead of having to launch every system separately to perform your job. As the NetWeaver Portal is part of the SAP products, it knows best how to communicate with the different SAP systems, and special features and business packages were implemented in order to support it.
The formal documentation can be found under the http://help.sap.com site.
Under it you can find the different products of SAP. One of them os the SAP NetWeaver (at teh top of the site). Choosing SAP NW, will display all the versions available of the different NW Products. The portal is located under "SAP NetWeaver Platform".
You should choose the relevant version, and under that version you can find the documentation about the NW Portal (look for "SAP NetWeaver Portal").
Example: This is the portal documentation of NetWeaver 7.3:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/f6/ac978061ac4b24a87a1f821313c4fe/frameset.htm
In the SCN you can find many more interesting and helpful documents and blogs.

Hi Rakesh,
Having a bit of Java knowledge is very helpful in case of Webdynpro and EP development.
Here is a very good starting <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/2746">point</a> for Enterprise Portal.
Also have a look at this <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/thread?messageID=1382638&">thread</a> for more on EP Developement.
