BO Analysis for OLAP does not display objects from data source

When I select Analysis for OLAP tool from BI launchpad to create a new report, it does not display any objects like infoarea or cubes or queries from the data source or OLAP CONNECTION which is already created in CMC.

Please check the screen shot attached and help me.

Thanks in advance.

I am curious how you did solve this.

We are setting up our BO system at this moment.
We created a user with specific viewing rights in SAP BW.

When using a client tool (webi/DEsign Studio) everything works as expected we do see the expected infoareas and queries.

However when we do it from the BI lauchpad (webi or BO Analysis OLAP) nothing is displayed.

My guess is that something is wrong in firewall but we have no idea what.
Maybe you can help us out?

Marco

Hi,

When there is only one OLAP Connection present in platform, then "Open Data Source" wizard will directly select it and proceed to second step about browsing database to find a Cube, Query or View, this seems to be the case for you.

If you can't see any InfoCatalog or InfoCube, it's possible you are connected to BW system with an account which doesn't allow to see any content. Otherwise there may be a problem in BI Suite configuration. You should test same scenario with another product (like Analysis Office or Web Intelligence) and in case it works there you should create a ticket for SAP to investigate.

Best regards,
