Hi ,
When I am getting the ASN or confirmation for my purchase order.
automatically Inbound delivery is getting created.
But here the problem is missing the storage location in inbound delivery.
I maintained the storage location determination (with situation) setup.
could you please help me.
Can you tell me how you setup the inbound delivery to create automatically?
We have a scenerio where we sent a po (ordrsp) to the vendor and they send confirmation back. Currently the po confirmation is updated but not inbound delivery - how do I get the inbound delivery idoc created?
Help would be appreciated.

Hello Audinarayana
Is your storage location determination also assigned to the required delivery type. Check the settings in t code OVL3.

Hi Audi,
Maintain the automatic determination of storage location for your incoming movement type in transaction "OMB2".
Reward points if it helps.

Hi ,
I maintained the setting in OMB2 already with " storage location automatically".
here my problem is PO itself doesn't have the storage location.
when I am getting ASN from EDI, it is automatically creating the Inbound delivery.
the Inbound delivery doesn't have the Storage location.
How can I setup the automatic determination of storage location for the inbound deliveries.
The entry in OMB2 indicates that automatic creation of storage location data in the material master record at the time of the first goods receipt is allowed.
As well the storage location data is only created automatically if the quantity is posted to the "normal" storage location stock. If you have goods movements to special stock (for example, to sales order stock), the data is not created.
To my knowledge the PO generally does not have storage locations, while creating inbound delivery (manually or automatically) storage locations are copied from the material master. So, also check what S.loc. your material master has for the materials you are creating inbound deliveries.

Hi,
If your problem begins in the PO like you state:
"here my problem is PO itself doesn't have the storage location.
when I am getting ASN from EDI, it is automatically creating the Inbound delivery."
To get the storage location in the PO is quite simple:
In the material masters (plant level) you have the MRP view; here you can enter the default storage location for EP (external procurement).
if you maintain it here => it will come in the PO and thus the inbound delivery.
hope this helps. award points if helpfull.
