Dear Amandeep Singh Kahlon,

First of all, please update to the latest SAP kernel stack for 6.40. In later patch levels the NPTL support for 6.40 was implemented. You can download it here:

http://service.sap.com/patches

-> Entry by Application Group

-> Additional Components

-> SAP Kernel

-> SAP Kernel 32bit Unicode/NonUnicode

-> SAP KERNEL 6.40 (Unicode/NonUnicode)

-> Linux on IA32 32bit

#Database independent -> SAPEXE_155-20000175.SAR

(for Oracle) -> SAPEXEDB_155-20000177.SAR

If you have problems applying the kernel, just drop a message here.

Furthermore, the RHEL4 kernel is not up2date. Please update to the latest available kernel. The version should be: 2.6.9-42.0.2.ELsmp or similar.

Best Regards,

Hannes Kuehnemund
